The Dive Tour to Ko Similan

Unfortnatually we didn't have a underwater camera so it is not possible for me to show any of the wonderful underwater scenery.

I can however tell you that we saw shark, turtles, squid, moray eels, barracudas, sting rays and many other beautiful fishes and corals, like diving in the most beautiful aquarium.

The "little" boulder on top of the rock is actually about 15 meters high. More boats out here. Sitting and relaxing between the dives.
Some photos of the beautiful nature at Ko Similan.

Even if it looks like we are relaxing don't let that fool you. We made 4 dives the first and second day, and 2 dives the third day.

Our tour leader woke us at 6.00 in the morning and 7.00 was the first dive. We made 2 dives before lunch and 2 dives after lunch. Please don't tell me it was a lazy trip. As our tour leader said, "This dive tour is about three things... diving, eating and sleeping".
The time schedule reminded me of when I was in the navy back home but in this case I enjoyed every minute of the dive tour.

The dive boat "Atlantis 2000" have a very nice crew and that even includes the dive tour leader and the dive master. The "Atlantis 2000" crew made an excellent job.

Okey, it is soon time to do the sweaty job of getting geared up and get into the water. By the way, the water didn't cool us down because we had about 27 degrees Celsius at 30 meters. For your information I logged the average temperature of 27 to 28 degrees at the average deep of 14 meters on all 10 dives we made.

Time for the dive briefing. Our tour leader does the briefing and the divers listen.
Time to get geared up and get into the water.

The dive tour is almost over and it is time to head back to Patong Beach in Phuket.

Here are every person onboard the dive boat except for the tour leader and the captain. The tour leader is the photographer and the captain must manouver the boat.
The tour leader was seen at the dive briefing and...
...the captain is here.
We were totally 21 persons onboard the dive boat, 5 crew members, a tour leader, a dive master and 14 divers.

The dive boat: Atlantis 2000

To the crew, the tour leader and the dive master of "Atlantis 2000":

Thank you very much for an excellent dive tour.

And thank's to the personnel of the Atlantis-Asia dive center in Phuket whom made us feel welcome.

Best regards, Mikael
